Election Day

Today is Election Day in the USA.

Many of you, therefore, will be occupied with making your way to the voting booths and tracking the results.

Consequently, there will be no fresh post today.

But you won’t want to miss tomorrow’s post. It’s related to what ends up happening today, even though I wrote it on Saturday.

On another note, if you haven’t subscribed to my Podcast yet, it only takes a second.

Several new episodes have been added and there are many more to come.

Also, Jesus: A Theography has just been added to my Library (which contains all 8 of my titles at a deep discount).

If you’re looking for gifts this holiday season, you may be interested in acquiring this set.

Our salvation is at the cross and not at the poll.

Some thoughts on todays election that I found on FB:
    —-
    1) The outcome of the election may be news to you, but the Creator of the Universe has been aware of it since before the beginning of time. Regardless of your perception of the events, the news will not knock Him off of His throne nor take Him by surprise.

    2) The winner of this election will not be the savior of our nation. Righteousness exalts a nation. Not Republicans. Not Democrats. Do not be confused.

    3) Your character is revealed both in how you handle victory and how you handle defeat. If your candidate loses, do not mourn as if you had no hope. Your candidate wasn’t going to be the savior of our nation anyway. (See point 2). More importantly, if your candidate wins, remember to treat those on the other side as you would want to be treated. In football terms, “no excessive celebration in the end zone.” That means no name calling, no rubbing noses in their defeat, and stay away from “I told you so.”

    4) Nothing proves the Mama Seay adage, “Life is not fair and some people are stupid” like elections. It is what it is. Deal with it.

Aww man, thought there might be a humorous post today to break the tense ice that today brings for Americans. :-)

No matter who wins, God is sovereign, Jesus has already overcome, and He is the Rock on which we stand.

    Looking forward to tomorrow’s post…

Ummm… sorry Greg, didn’t want to spoil your day ;-)
But it’s hard to try and be funny with you guys from here (not because of german heritage, but being no native english speaker :-)

Maybe You could watch TV tonight together with sound off, watching all those funny faces on the screen and make a game by guessing what’s going (trying to switch programs with your remote quick enough to bypass spoilers like those extrapolations). Could be fun :-)
Hope this helps to light up Your day ;-)
      Andy
