For an iconoclast like yourself, I’m surprised that you wrote Holy Spirit and Christmas in the same heading! Or is Christmas one of those icons you haven’t knocked over yet? Just curious. I’d like to hear your view on that! I’ve been enjoying your blogs over the past year…I heard about you through the brethren here in Drogheda…someone referred to you the other day as: “the Italian”! You came the year before I moved here and married Mike. Your series on the Holy Spirit baptism is timely. Going to read it now. cheers!

Your assumption is incorrect. I’ve been very vocal about my views on Christmas since 2008 in responding to legalists on the subject. It’s on the Pagan Christianity Q & A page. I’m not going to repeat it. An iconoclast is one thing; a legalist is quite another. To see the definition of the latter, read my article on Legalism and Libertinism in the Archives.

Thanks, Frank. I’d love to read those pieces you recommended, but I can’t find them! I looked through 8 of your archive pages under spirituality and I checked all of the Q & A’s in the back of your PC book. I sure want to become more and more free in Jesus–So, I look forward to reading & praying about anything that will help me on my way. If you have time, can you send me the link to the article you recommend and/or the page number in PC? Thanks.

Go to PaganChristianity.org – then click on the Questions and Answers Page – there’s a visible link to it. When on the Q and A page, you can search for Christmas. Or just read the whole page. That’s the best I can do in terms of navigation.

ah, thanks. I was looking at the back of your PC book! Oops. I also found the archive article:Legalism, License, Lordship, and Liberty…I think that’s the one you were pointing me to. So, I’m guessing that from my comment you might think I’m a legalist? I’m going to read the other article you pointed to by Mr Keathley and consider the whole topic of holidays again. The grace and patience of God as we learn and grow in Him is so amazing. Thanks for your input, Frank.

Nope. I don’t know you so I can’t say anything about you. I was just responding to your question and comment. ;-)

Eager to read your posts Frank! By the way, aren’t the two baptisms (water baptism & holy spirit baptism) related to each other which makes them one and the same baptism? In Ephesians 4:5, Paul does say that there is only one baptism. An example of both baptisms being one could be the baptism of Jesus when He was baptised in the Jordan river and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him. Anyway, I’m looking forward to your posts and am sure that you have lots to say.

Are you writing about “the baptism OF the Holy Spirit (where the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the Body of Christ), or the baptism IN the Holt Spirit where Jesus baptizes us in the Holy Spirit? Two separate baptisms.

So excited Frank! I’ve always wanted to read some stuff about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit from you, especially considering your background as a former pentecostal. So no need to fear tackling a controversial topic, just give us some truth. Thanks!

I am looking forward to your next set of posts on rethinking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Really looking forward!

All too often we learn something and then just breeze along and never think about it again. That is like reading a Dick and Jane book in primary school and not reading another book because you know how to read, that comes up to insanity. So challenge me, make me pray into this, make me take it to God and see if what I know is what He knows…….. Thanks Frank, keep bringin’ the heat, brother!
