My favorite action film of all time is The Bourne Identity . . . all three parts actually. One of the reasons why I like these films so much is because I can identify with Jason Bourne in so many ways.
Take for instance in the first film — when he enters into a diner with Marie and says:
I can tell you the license plates of all six cars outside. I can tell you that our waitress is left-handed, and the guy sitting up at the counter weighs 215 pounds and knows how to handle himself. I know the best place to look for a gun is in the cab of the gray truck outside, and that at this altitude I can run flat out for a half a mile before my hands start to shake. Now why would I know that?
Am I the only one who has this same experience every time I walk into a diner?
Hmmm . . .
