This series has been living water for my soul. Thank you for writing it. In a similar way, I am convinced that when the Bible speaks of “sound doctrine” (1 Tim 1:10, 2 Tim 4:3, Tit 1:9, and 2:1) all are used in the context of our life behavior. So biblical sound doctrine are those that increase the life of Christ and the fruit of the Spirit. Thank you again for this series. I am thoroughly enjoying it and will print it up for my wife to read.
Pentecostal is my tribe, I’m proud of my heritage and the long history of faith and power that accompanies it, but I’ve spent more time on this subject than any other. Gifts are important but they are not all-encompassing. They are healthy but they are not health. thanks so much for stating these thoughts clearly and in a a continuous format, I would have bought this as a 20 page booklet, that’s how amazing these blogs have been!
Amen! It would be so wonderful to discover that after having met me, people couldn’t remember a thing except that they felt loved and were reminded of something — anything— to do with the Lord Jesus! Now THAT would be a gift worth having.

Makes so much sense; really helps me put so much together that I’ve been confused about for so long. Thanks.

Now you’re talking! 🙂
This whole teaching has been divinely appointed as our fellowship had just begun to wrestle through this topic again. It is true, Jesus loves us.

What you are saying seems to be in tune with what I am beginning to sense God is saying through a variety of channels.

Very well said Frank. This post is something far too few in the Church understand. I’ve really been enjoying this series!
