My favorite action film of all time is The Bourne Identity . . . all three parts actually.
One of the reasons why I like these films so much is because I can identify with Jason Bourne in so many ways.
Take for instance in the first film — when he enters into a diner with Marie and says:
I can tell you the license plates of all six cars outside. I can tell you that our waitress is left-handed, and the guy sitting up at the counter weighs 215 pounds and knows how to handle himself. I know the best place to look for a gun is in the cab of the gray truck outside, and that at this altitude I can run flat out for a half a mile before my hands start to shake. Now why would I know that?
Am I the only one who has this same experience every time I walk into a diner!?
Hmmm . . .
Awesome movies. I watched The Bourne Supremacy last night. This is not a drill, soldier! God Bless You Frank.
FV – I’ve long had my suspicions about you and Jason Bourne, mainly driven by the fact that I never see the two of you in the same place at the same time.
I know EXACTLY what you’re getting at here and yes, I feel the same.
Hands down my favorite blog post you’ve done so far.
The Bourne Trilogy is brilliant! All the best movies are either based on novels or true stories. Bourne is based on novels. The fourth movie will disappoint because it is not based on a novel. But I hope you enjoy anyway.
you know you could come visit me since our fellowship is in Nixa, Mo…
Well, not just walking into a diner, but I have that happen when I visit some churches in my town. You can tell who the self righteous ones are, the humble, the visitors, and who hasn’t had a visit by any other church member in a long time. And people think the world is the mission field. Go figure. 😉
