Those who are regulars to this blog know that my favorite Resurrection Song of all time is by my friend Don Francisco.
I’ve heard all the other popular Resurrection songs, and as far as I’m concerned, this one has nevah been trumped . . . evah.
Warning: Keep some Kleenex nearby. Even though I’ve heard it many times, I can’t hear it without tears.

Thanks Frank. Wonderful thoughts flood back. These were the first Christian songs I ever heard after I met Jesus. His eyes are upon us and nobody can snatch us from His Hand. Amen
Paul
Have always loved He’s Alive. Equal favorite for me is Rise Again by Dallas Holm. Don’t make me choose 🙂

Forgot about this one. Love it.

I agree, Frank – there is no better resurrection song. Don was one of the first Christian singer-songwriters I ever heard when I became a Christian at age 14, and was one of two people whose music influenced and shaped me greatly (the other one being Keith Green). I had the privilege of seeing Don perform live in the UK twice.
But, although “He’s Alive” is a terrific song, my favourite DF song of all time is undoubtedly “Too small a price”, which depicts the crucifixion from the perspective of the thief who died next to Jesus and subsequently found himself in paradise. I listened to it again on Good Friday, and the ending still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. “Jesus is the Lord of all, we have been redeemed!”

I agree Rob, Too Small a Price is a more than wonderful song and also my favourite. I also was encouraged by both Don Francisco and Keith Green in my early Christian life. Just listening to their songs reminds me of my first love and how much I want to be back in that place.

All I can say is Amen!

My first thought, “tissues-I’m not going to cry.” Well, I was soooo wrong-tears streaming. I dream of those smiling eyes of love that outshine the sun. Just try to imagine what Glory we will behold, if a song and video can have such an affect!
Never heard that song before, what a gift!
Thank You Immensely Brother,

Great song. I like Don’s version the best (there are a lot of other versions on youtube).
Here’s a video of Don talking about writing the song…
