Every seasoned minister of God’s Word has a “sugar stick” message. That’s the one that burns the barn down. It’s a preacher’s flagship . . . signature . . . gully-washer.
Someone who speaks often once asked me what my “sugar stick” was.
I really don’t have one because I rarely if ever repeat a message I’ve delivered.
The instances have been few and far between.
But if there was one message that embodies and summarizes my contribution . . . it would be this one:
Epic Jesus: The Christ You Never Knew
I delivered “Epic Jesus” at the Momentum Conference in 2011. If memory serves me, there were less than 300 people in the room.
Yet at the time of this post, the message has been downloaded almost 30,000 times.
Now . . . there’s a pretty interesting “back-story” to this message that I’ve never told a soul. And it’s one that I believe will encourage and inspire you.
