Thanks very much for this Frank. I find your series simply amazing. I’d like you to continue with other important theologians such as Charles Hodge, B.B. Warfield, Francis Schaeffer, John Owen, and so on…
God bless you!

Thx. The “giants” of evangelicalism are on the docket: Moody, Spurgeon, Augustine, Luther. I’ve done Calvin, Lewis, J. Edwards, and Wesley.

This is great, thanks Frank as always for sharing!

Here’s one most Protestants won’t like. John Wesley believed in the perpetual virginity of Mary.
Source: “Letter to a Roman Catholic” by John Wesley, in which he stated, “I believe that he [Jesus] was made man, joining the human nature with the divine in one person; being conceived by the singular operation of the Holy Ghost, and born of the blessed Virgin Mary, who, as well after as before she brought him forth, continued a pure and unspotted virgin.”

Thanks. Adding it.

Great piece Frank. The visual l was getting on Wesleys static electricity machine was giving me immense chuckles. I guess everybody down the street knew you had been to an outstanding Wesley bible study meeting as all your hair would be standing upright completely at attention. Go in peace with the Lord, son. Oh, and an electric shock. I used to have a gag electric shock pen. It was a beauty.
