So hilarious!! Loving your articles and like someone mentioned earlier, your recents posts seem to stand out more than previous ones. Glad I continued to subscribe to your blog! Keep ’em coming!:)
Rebecca
I really appreciate your sarcasm and sense of humor, brother. This is a serious subject, but laughing makes it bearable and keeps me from getting discouraged. Thank you.
I just listened to your podcast #23 yesterday. How timely it was, and probably always will be, no matter what is going on in my life or the world. I pray the Lord will help me (and my brothers and sisters in Christ) remember to regularly question what we are worshipping. It must always be Him and only Him!

Thanks!

Best advice that Frank has given on CV is not to spend more than 20 minutes a day investigating. Most people aren’t going to die or even get seriously ill, and aside from taking normal precautions, there IS nothing we can do about it.
Appreciate your sense of humor and your unique perspective!

Your analysis that the institutional church will come roaring back is seriously flawed. As an Anglican writer I can assure you that The Episcopal Church and the other mainline denominations will be gone in twenty years. They are dead spiritually, killed off by following pansexuality and demographically because most mainline Christians are now in their mid Sixties. Millennial’s are not following in their footsteps. The episcopal church is dead, the Anglican Church in America is replacing it, ditto for Presbyterians and Methodists.
The second greatest factor is that 81% of evangelicals (that figure is exaggerated) have identified themselves with Donald Trump and right wing politics. The gospel has no credibility with Nones, Millennials or Generations X,Y and Z. The gospel is lost now for at least two generations in america. if you want to see real reform and revival think China and Africa. It is over in America. evangelicals are 3000 miles and one inch deep. Game over.
Frank Viola
I’m not talking about mainline churches. Those died long, long ago.
I’m speaking of mega-churches and other large evangelical and charismatic churches. I disagree completely that they are over in America. The virus crisis isn’t going to remove the churches that are large and were growing before the crisis hit. I’ve been at this for over 25 years and the “institutional church” has been predicted to bite the dust just about every three years.
Hasn’t happened. Won’t happen. And it has nothing to do with a Christian’s political views, something I’ve talked about often in The Insurgence Podcast and in the book itself (Insurgence).
Watch and see.
Btw/ most of my readers are Millennials and Gen X and Y. Mainline church attenders aren’t my audience. Happy to have you reading, though. Glad to be reminded that there are hungry souls for Christ everywhere. 🙂

Thank you, Frank

The big problem with people today is that they are wrapped up in themselves. What about me. If a crisis happens to someone else it is important, but if it happens to me or my own it is an emergency. I thank the Lord each day for all of the circumstances that come from His hand. I appreciate that it is ” Christ in you, the hope of glory” The Lord is doing his refining and transforming work to conform us to the image of Christ. If we will cooperate with Him in this life, when He appears, we will be like Him.

I have to say that, while I’ve read your writings a long time for learning and growth, I’ve found your recent writings to be more uplifting and inspiring. I think I’ve read and laughed at more humor by you in the past month, than in the past five years – and it’s been good for my soul! Maybe a crisis brings out some of the best in you? Thanks for some of the specific information about the virus – it’s been difficult to find that.

Some of my articles contain humor, in others I reel it in.
Have you read “ReGrace”? – there’s humor on just about every page. https://www.frankviola.org/regrace

Ah, your humour Frank.
Weaved in. Love it. Always have.
Becoming less of an unbearable human being. LOL.
I still have a job so l see a lot of frazzled parents out on the streets dragging their Cain and Abel kids outside before they kill each other. Its a tough time!
And yes, Neo’s are everywhere, and God is a Master communicator in reaching you and unplugging you,
from The Matrix.
The world system.
Amen.

Hi Frank,
Keep the good fight my friend, many will come to know Jesus through this viral thing. I hope that this “salvation” thing Goes Viral….all things work together for good, in Christ………!

Well it put into perspective, instead of all these videos I’ve been watching and sending, why don’t I send out the Word of God. If I am going to “share” I should “share” the cure to all issues including the cure to death! That cure is Jesus Christ!
Thanks I needed that article more than ever today.

“This is ONE reason why scores of intelligent people in the world don’t care what “Christians” have to say about anything – including the gospel.”
Absolutely!
I have close family members wrapped up in these conspiracy theories, and it pains me to see the silly memes over and over again. I feel helpless (but not hopeless) and I’ve resolved myself to being content with praying for them. I don’t know what else I can do.
In all things, God is in control.

Well, I just want to say that is a good job I wasn’t drinking anything whilst reading through your post today Frank, because most of it would have been sprayed on my laptop and I quite possibly would have been electrocuted, the humour just nearly caused me to bust a gut laughing 😀
Concerning the content, these several posts you have made on this subject have been a blessing and a great way to keep the mind on Him and not It, thank you once again, brother spreading, spreading these post like a rash 🙂
