Welcome to another Thursday UNFILTERED blog post, the only blog that recommends that when you take your girlfriend or wife to a merry-go-round, do not give her a burrito before she gets on the ride.
A few weeks ago, I addressed five of the struggles you posted in your survey.
The piece took a long time to write, but it points you to resources that will solve the problems you listed, and most of them are gratis.
Today’s article deals further with the subject of addictions, as well as some of the other struggles you all raised in your survey.
Music experts will tell you what the signature song is for any band.
For example: For Led Zeppelin, experts say that if you listen to Stairway to Heaven or Kashmir, you’ll instantly know what Zep is all about.
For those who preach, it’s the same.
Everyone who ministers the Word has a signature (“sugar stick”) message.
When I was invited to speak at the Momentum Conference in Jacksonville, Florida, I delivered a message entitled Epic Jesus: The Christ You Never Knew.
In this one talk, all the themes that mark all of my work appear — from the centrality and supremacy of Christ, to the eternal purpose, to the kingdom of God, to the indwelling life of Christ, to the ekklesia, etc.
Some have called it “The Stairway to the Heaven” message because it builds and builds until its high fever pitch conclusion.
My goal in delivering the message was to present the inimitable ineffable Christ in His infinite soul-staggering grandeur.
Part of the message found its way into the book Jesus Manifesto, chapter 2.
It’s been said that one of the keys to breaking any addiction is to lay hold of a purpose that’s much larger than yourself.
A purpose so big, so grand, so enormous that the addiction loses its power and becomes small.
And even uninteresting.
This message was released in the past in an episode on the “Christ is All” podcast, but the version was edited.
Last Tuesday, however, we released the uncut version that includes the introduction which was missing from the previous broadcast.
I hope the message alters your life.
And for those of you who routinely ask – the LINKS to any article on this blog or any of the episodes on the Christ is All or Insurgence podcasts can be shared with others. Including this one.

Some folks have done this and testified it’s true: (I never was hooked on drugs myself, but I believe it) they stepped up from drugs to the Most High. The problem is the message like the message linked above needs to be revealed more so that more will choose Christ. The Most High is better.

Share the link to the message with your friends. That’s how these things get out.
I did that.
