Welcome to another Thursday UNFILTERED email, the only weekly email that got a message saying, “your password is weak.” It replied saying, “well, my memory is bad so please let me keep it!”

Those are my wife’s words when she heard it. And she’s not easily impressed … by anything.
For me, I’M ASTONISHED AND THRILLED.
Back in February, in episode 180 of the Christ is All podcast I unveiled the new lyrics I wrote to the epic tour de force song “Stairway” (abbreviated).
The new lyrics tell the story of the Romance of the Ages, found from Genesis to Revelation.
Since February, I’ve searched for someone who could record the song, but alas, everyone who expressed interest didn’t have the voice to pull it off.
Until this past week!
I’m happy to announce that a sister in Christ with a magnificent voice and the range to carry all the notes just made a studio recording of the song, and it made me weep.
She not only hit the ball in the seats, she knocked it out of the stadium.
The song is POWERFUL.
I hope you’ll take the time to listen to it. As a line from one of my favorite movies goes (“The Cutting Edge”), it’s “so good it will make you cry.”
“Stairway” is the most played song in the history of FM radio, and even today Christians below the age of 40 know it.
The new version raises the song beyond the stratosphere, exalting the Lord Jesus Christ, the true Bridegroom, as it tells the story of the most beautiful girl in the world—the bride of the Lamb.
Added bonus: there are no sinister messages when you play it backwards! 🙂
