Welcome to another Thursday UNFILTERED blog post, the only blog that believes in annoyed at first sight.
In my book, Revise Us Again, I dedicated an entire chapter to the felt-presence of God (chapter 6).
Also on the Conference Messages page on my website, there’s a message entitled “The Subtlety of God’s Presence.”
Then there’s the supplemental article to the book Insurgence called Aware of His Presence.
Add to that, recently on the “Christ is All” podcast, we dropped a new conference message entitled “Living in the Conscious Presence of God.” (I shared it with you two weeks ago. The article was entitled An Unforgettable Conference.
Related to God’s presence and my article What is the Church, Really?, which dropped last week, one of my dreams came true last August.
It’s a re-written song that reflects the power and majesty of God’s Eternal Purpose.
The music is epic and dramatic, one of the greatest compositions in history with one of the most iconic guitar solos ever produced.
The tune is a work of art, starting out slow and mellow but building until its exquisite finale.
Ashley’s vocals on the track are pristine.
I’d like you to take 8 minutes and 27 seconds out of your life this week and watch the lyric video while you listen to the song.
If you’ve seen/heard it in the past, which many of you have, do so again. But this time, answer a two-part question in the comments section under the song (not via email).
The two-part question is:
- If you sensed/experienced God’s presence while you watched and listened, explain the experience. Example: Chills, goosebumps, shivers, tears (or watery eyes), or anything else. (Others have reported some of these.)
- What specific part of the song provoked this sense, experience, or reaction? Example: The lyric “The Lamb is Ready to Appear Now” or “timestamp 5:43.”
If you had no sense, no experience, and no reaction from the Lord, don’t answer.
We are just compiling the responses of those who did.
You will see a list of past remarks in the discussion section (not on these questions), but the responses to the two-questions above will be kept hidden so no one will be influenced by any one else. However, my team and I will be able to see them.
And at some point in the future, we might make them visible.
GO HERE to listen and watch the lyric video. Then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to answer the two-part question.
Looking forward.
Until next Thursday.
