I have a question that isn’t meant to stir up controversy (though it does in my soul). Is there anywhere you discuss the teaching of Eternal Subordination of the Son (ESS). This ‘doctrine’ keeps coming up in the context of complementarian teaching regarding roles, order, and submission (Col. 3; Eph. 5). I had never heard of ESS until around 2000. The teaching seems to split God into fragments; with one part of him being eternally submitted to another. I am really interested in looking into this subject (that I don’t agree with at the moment). Can you point me to your own, or other’s, discussions of this belief. Thanks so much.

When one is obedient in believers baptism and receives the Holy Spirit as a gift (Acts 2:38), is it necessary today to have someone lay hands upon you? I am a little confused by the account of Simon the Sorcerer and what he tried to buy. It seems that, based on the qualifications of Matthias, an Apostle had to be an eye witness of Jesus.
